This is the second year that our town has launched wish lanterns in conjunction with the lighting of the town Christmas tree. I am again amazed at the amount of people that came out to launch their own personalized lanterns. Thanks to Facebook I have been able to reconnect with some old friends recently. Some dear friends of mine let me use their guesthouse for the My Darling Valentine Photo Shoot a couple of weeks ago. Until that day I had never been out to their property in the daylight. Once again...today I heard the term "it would be like trying to drive round pegs through a square hole".{crickets}Ummm,IT'S SQUARE PEGS, ROUND HOLE!!!!! I need to take a moment to address a comment left to me a couple of days ago, with regard to taking photos in manual mode versus auto. Looks peaceful doesn't it? I know it is January. We are still rockin the Christmas decorations. We don't ever want it to end.p.s. This was taken in full-on manual mode ya'll. Shutter speed, aperature, ISO....all set by me. I even took the lens off auto mode and turned the little focusing doohicky myself! YEAH!
